HOLLYWOOD (WKZO AM/FM) — Actor, retired NFL player and former WMU Bronco Terry Crews is among the latest to go public with his story of sexual harassment in Hollywood.
Crews says he has filed a police report charging William Morris agent Adam Venit with groping him at a party some time ago, in front of his wife.
He says he was afraid to say anything because Venit is one of the biggest agents in Hollywood, representing Sylvester Stallone, Gal Gadot, Kevin James, Adam Sandler and a number of other celebrities.
Crews tells ABC that he now also plans to pursue a civil lawsuit.
Crews told ABC’s Good Morning America that his wife was able to calm him down and get him to leave the party without retaliating physically against Venit, who has now reportedly been suspended by William Morris Endeavor.
Crews admits that he has been emboldened by the #METOO movement, and says he understands why women are reluctant to come forward with these kinds of allegations.
Crews was a walk-on at WMU who eventually won an athletic scholarship and played on WMU’s 1988 MAC Championship squad as a defensive end. He was drafted by the Rams and played on several NFL teams before retiring from the gridiron and heading for Hollywood.
He has played a wide variety of roles in movies and on TV-series and also had his own reality show for a while.
