KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — While state and local officials figure out ways to make marijuana into a jobs producer, the Southwest Michigan Enforcement Team was putting some marijuana dealers out of business.
A SWET Team was conducting a counter-drug operation near East Main and Fennimore Street last evening when they spotted a suspicious car.
They called for uniformed Township Police officers to conduct a traffic stop.
Lt. Jim Lass says they found a large amount of marijuana in the car and a stolen handgun in the waistband of one of the passengers.
Two of the three males on board had outstanding felony warrants and were taken into custody.
