KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — It may only be early November but we could all use a little Christmas given all the tension, disasters, tragedies and nasty politics in the news these days.
Downtown Kalamazoo kicks off the holidays tomorrow with the annual Christmas Parade, which is not only our first chance to get a look at Santa, but thanks to the folks at Loaves and Fishes, our first chance to do a little giving.
Greta Faworski with the local food bank says they really appreciate the food donations and canned goods people bring to the parade, but they also understand its not always easy to do, say they now take cash too.
The parade will feature five balloons, multiple floats and several bands including WMU’s Bronco Marching Band. It begins at around 10:45 but may take a while to work around to where folks are standing.
Bundle up because it’s going to feel a lot like Christmas too.
