KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – Kalamazoo Catholic Diocese Bishop Paul Bradley called Sunday’s massacre at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas an act that was beyond comprehension and senseless, that left him heartbroken.
Bradley said “on behalf of the Diocese of Kalamazoo, as a community that knows first-hand the horror of an unwarranted violent attack on innocent lives, we express our solidarity, with the families of those who have lost loved ones, and all those who have been injured and traumatized by the events of this day”.
At least 26 persons including six members of one family were killed in the mass shooting.
The attack happened soon after Sunday services began at First Baptist Church. The 26-year-old man was found dead in his car after driving to a nearby county.
