CASSOPOLIS (WKZO AM/FM) — A 63-year-old man from man from Cassopolis suffered critical injuries when he was struck by a train near E Street and Wolfe.
Chief Brian LaValle says the first officers at the scene at about 5 am Friday found the man lying on the ground about 50 yards from the E Street crossing.
Officers began first aid until Lifecare EMS crews arrived and transported the pedestrian to Borgess Lee Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of relatives.
