HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – It’s not the caramel apple that Michiganders love the most during the Halloween season. It’s candy corn.
That’s according to the website CandyStore.com. The website look at ten years of data from candy sales to find the favorites throughout America.
Who else loves candy corn? The states of Alabama, Idaho, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and South Carolina do.
According to the website, in the last ten years 147,000 pounds of the tri-colored sugary snack have been sold in Michigan. Skittles ranks second with just under 136,000 pounds sold. In Illinois, Sour Patch Kids is the top candy purchased for Halloween.
