BRADLEY, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The next phase of the Gun Lake Casino is here.
Officials of the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians announced on Monday the appointment of Salvatore Semola as President and Chief Operating Officer for the gaming house off of 129th Avenue and US-131 between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Semola comes to West Michigan with over four decades of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, including a management stint at Detroit’s Greektown Casino/Hotel, and had operated his own consulting firm before accepting the offer to run the Gun Lake Casino.
According to tribal officials, the appointment comes as an initial seven-year pact between the Gun Lake Tribe and Station Casinos to manage the casino nears its end. Semola is expected to work closely with all interested parties to make the transition as smooth as possible when the Station Casinos contract ends next February.
