BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) –Battle Creek Police are looking for an armed robber who attacked his victim with a hammer.
An employee at Sam’s Discount Party Store had just locked up the business early Sunday morning when he was confronted by the robber who demanded they go back into the store.
The employee refused and was struck in the head with the hand tool. The robber grabbed his wallet and fled on foot. He remains at large.
The victim was taken to Bronson Battle Creek Emergency for treatment but is expected to recover.
The robber is described as a black male in his 20’s, wearing all black with a mask over his face.
