HASTINGS (WKZO AM/FM) — The Barry County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 1-1/2 year old child who wandered into a shallow body of water at the family’s home in the 8000 block of Broadway Road, and apparently drowned.
The child was with other children at the time and wandered into the shallow pool while playing
The infant was found dead by his father just before 11 yesterday morning.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene. Police don’t suspect foul play.
