CASS COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — A Decatur woman involved in a violent roll over crash in Cass county had to be air-lifted to South Bend Memorial after she was extricated from the wreckage of her car.
Witnesses say the car 59-year-old Tina Slate was driving was not slowing down as it approached a car stopped at a stop sign at Gage St. and Atwood Road at about 3 pm Sunday.
Her car suddenly veered around the stopped car, hit a large embankment and rolled sideways about two-hundred feet into a cornfield.
She was taken to Borgess Lee in Dowagiac and they airlifted to South Bend. Her condition has not been released.
