KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The protests at football games continue, spreading to one local high school game.
Half the Maroon Giants of Kalamazoo Central took a knee at their game with Lakeview Thursday night during the anthem but there was no such protest at the Loy Norrix game.
More often than not at College games, the Anthem is played before the teams leave the locker room and so its unclear what might happen Saturday.
In Green Bay Thursday night they locked arms at the Bears/Packers Game last night and asked the crowd to do the same with some Packers fans deciding to burn their jerseys and boycott instead. No doubt if they want to sell their season tickets, there are people waiting in line for them.
And ten Democrats in the Michigan State House locked arms to protest the decision by the Governor to keep the State Police Director in her job after she called NFL protestors ”degenerates”.
State Police officials say Colonel Kristie Kibbie Etue could face departmental discipline ranging from a letter of reprimand to a suspension for reposting the comment. They have a policy that bans social media statements by employees that are disruptive or bring a negative light on the State Police.
