KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo Township stepdad who was accused of whipping two step-daughters with a belt over a two year period has been found guilty.
35-year-old Brandon Parr could get up to ten years for second degree child abuse and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
It was apparently his way of dispensing punishment.
The girls, aged 10 and 11 testified that the beatings they got would draw blood and make them scream.
A doctor testified he found many old injuries on the girls that had clearly been the result of child abuse.
If his wife Ashley doesn’t cut a deal first she will go on trial next month on three counts of third degree child abuse.
