KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A four time repeat offender who is suspected of ten sexual assaults across the U.S. has been found not guilty by a Kalamazoo County Jury of a sexual assault on a woman here in 2008.
Calvin Kelly of Memphis, Tennessee had been charged with Kidnapping and three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct.
It was one of the cases resurrected by an untested rape kit, but DNA evidence is useless when the 60-year-old truck driver admitted he had sex with the woman.
Kelly took the stand to claim it was consensual. The victim testified it was not, that she thought he was going to kill her.
Apparently the jury believed him and not her.
