KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s going to take longer for the city of Kalamazoo to come up with its Medical Marijuana rules because it’s taking the state so long to come up with its regulations.
City Attorney Clyde Robinson informed City Commissioners last night that he had hoped to have something drafted and presented to the Commission next month, but he says the State Medical Marijuana board isn’t even going to see emergency rules until late November.
Robinson says the state dragged their feed for the first six month after the legislation passed.
Commissioner Dave Anderson didn’t see any need to rush into it and then have to go back and redo it again.
It means more uncertainty for Medical Marijuana users who may not know where their medicine will be coming from after December 15th.
