BERRIEN COUNTY (WKZO-AM/FM) — Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide inside a home in the Lakeshore community of Bridgman.
Local police were asked to check on the welfare of 63-year-old Donald Ackerman and his 67-year-old wife, Pamela, by a family member after they had not been heard from for several days.
Officers found the couple dead from gunshot wounds inside their home on Baldwin Road.
Autopsies will be done to determine if the wounds are consistent with that initial assessment.
