BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman is being held for assault after stabbing a man twice in the 600 block of East Emmett Street Thursday morning. Battle Creek police haven’t given the motive for the assault, that will come later.
Officers say the victim was taken to Bronson Battle Creek with what appeared to be non-life threatening wounds.
The female suspect was apprehended a few blocks from the crime scene as she attempted to get out of the area.
She was taken to the Calhoun County Corrections center and may be arraigned today at a bond hearing.
