SPRINGFIELD (WKZO AM/FM) — Calhoun Country Deputies are looking for a pair of robbers who held up the Mobil gas station on West Michigan Avenue in Springfield right around midnight Tuesday night, leaving the 25-year-old clerk tied up behind the counter.
They entered the convenience store portion of the gas station as the place was getting ready to close.
The two black males produced firearms, demanding that the clerk hand over the money or be killed.
They took his wallet, cellphone and thousands in cash from the business and fled.
It’s believed they used a getaway car.
The clerk managed to get to a phone to call for help despite being tied up.
One of the robbers was in a blue outfit, both wore hoodies and masks and one had a neon work vest over the hoodie.
