LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is giving residents in the state of Michigan a chance to review the plan from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to prevent Asian carp from getting into the Great Lakes.
DNR officials will hold a public meeting Thursday, September 14, at Muskegon Community College from 3:30-6:30 p.m. to take comments. The college is located at 2215 Quarterline Road in Muskegon.
Comments may also be mailed in before October 2.
The Corps Brandon Road Report was due to be released in February, but was blocked for months by the Trump administration. Governor Rick Snyder and the Michigan Legislature have authorized $1 million to launch a global search for innovative thinkers who can provide the best solutions to this looming crisis.
