KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is investigating to determine the cause of an early Sunday fire in the Vine Neighborhood that damaged a home in the 900 block of Neumaier Court.
The couple in the home woke up to the smell of smoke coming from the living room after 7 a.m. and tried to douse the flames with water.
They were driven from the home by accumulating smoke. Arriving PSOs were able to quickly knock down the fire.
The home suffered smoke and water damage but should be repairable.
