LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — Some call it the 9-11 Anniversary, others call it Remembrance Day, and still others call it Patriot Day.
Whatever you call it, Gov. Rick Snyder is calling on folks to lower U.S. and Michigan flags to half-staff today in remembrance of the lives lost 16 years ago.
Snyder says “Patriot Day honors the innocent lives lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks. We will never forget the bravery of the first responders and the resilience of the American people who showed incredible courage that fateful day. As the flags are lowered, let’s remember and pray for the 2,977 lives lost and their families”.
