PAW PAW (WKZO-AM/FM) — Wineries, breweries and other businesses in Paw Paw plan to celebrate the region’s wine industry this weekend.
It’s part of the annual Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival.
Nancy Oxley with St. Julian Winery and Distillery on Kalamazoo Street and Commercial Avenue in Paw Paw said they’ll be busy all weekend with wine tastings, live music and tours.
“We kicked off harvest last Thursday, so we’re a little bit earlier than we’ve been,” Oxley said. “If you come through the winery and do a tour, you’re probably going to smell some grapes fermenting into wine.”
The wine tents at St. Julian open at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
A parade through downtown Paw Paw is slated for Sunday at 1 p.m.
The full schedule for the weekend can be found here.
