MARSHALL (WKZO-AM/FM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation says crews will begin work next week re-paving the pothole-marred interchange connecting Interstates 69 and 94 near Marshall.
MDOT spokesperson Nick Schirippa says work on the cloverleaf will extend through late October. Work is slated to start Monday, weather permitting.
“It’s about two months worth of work,” Schirippa said. “We’ll be doing a lot of repaving on ramps and sealing the joints.”
He says there will be daytime, and eventually, overnight traffic impacts.
“For most of us heading to or from work, or maybe up to a football game on the weekends, just slow down a little bit on the ramps for narrow traffic,” Schirippa said. “At night, you’re going to see some detours eventually, and those will be posted well in advance.”
He says drivers will enjoy a smoother, safer ride once work is complete.
