KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man has suffered life-threatening injuries and a woman is being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail after a collision on East Ransom Street near Walbridge.
It happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday. The first responding officers found the victim, a 41-year-old male, lying in the street with a head injury.
The 38-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated. Kalamazoo Public Safety says it appears the victim was walking in the roadway when eastbound driver struck him.
He was rushed to Bronson Methodist Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
