KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Comstock man who allegedly shot 40-year-old Ryan Harrington multiple times two weeks ago has waived preliminary hearing and will proceed to trial.
Harrington was found bleeding by a passerby, dumped into a ditch along E. Michigan Avenue near Sprinkle Road on August 14th.
He did not die and was able to help police identify 56-year-old Matthew Derr. Investigators say a search of the suspect’s home and car turned up evidence of the shooting, Harrington’s blood and a meth lab.
Derr faces attempted murder, gun and drug charges and is being held on $250,000 bond.
