LANSING (WKZO-AM/FM) — Former Michigan State University head basketball coach Jud Heathcote is dead at the age of 90.
According to a statement from MSU, he died Monday at his home in Spokane, Wash.
He coached the Spartans and the University of Montana to a combined 10 NCAA tournament appearances.
He coached an MSU team led by Magic Johnson to a national championship in 1979.
