KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A group of State House Republicans are being called the “Sinful 16” by a far right organization called “Drain the Swamp” and two local State Representatives are on the list.
The Chair of the Antrim County Republican Party, “TRUCKER “Randy Bishop is soliciting funds for radio ads targeting 16 republican lawmakers including Dave Maturen and Brandt Iden, claiming they oppose auto insurance reforms, and that they may vote with Democrats to maintain the status quo.
Iden says they too are seeking reforms to bring down prices, but they are not ones that Bishop wants. Still he thinks the media attack is unfair and he wishes that Bishop had contacted him first.
“No Fault Reform” is just one of a number of vexing issues that have defied resolution for years in Lansing, and may be debated this fall.
