CASS COUNTY (WKZO-AM/FM) — A seatbelt may have saved the life of a 70-year-old woman who lost control of her vehicle on M-62 near Hess Road in Cass County before 10 a.m. Saturday.
Sheriff’s deputies say Donna Vanvooren of Edwardsburg had to be pried out of the wreckage after it slammed into a tree and the doors were jammed shut.
Vanvooren was loaded into an ambulance and taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
