EAST LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — The latest state-of-the-state survey conducted by Michigan State University’s Institute for Public Policy and Social Research found only 28 eprcent willing to give President Trump excellent or good performance ratings.
Dr. Charles Ballard says 51 percent gave the Trump poor marks.
He said those are the second-worst marks of any president . Only George W. Bush scored lower, as the nation suffered the Great Recession.
The survey also rated Gov. Rick Snyder. They found, while his numbers have risen following the lead-contaminated water crisis in Flint, they have only come up slightly from 25 percent to 29 percent.
The survey respondents definitely felt differently about the economy, with 62 percent saying their financial condition is good-to-excellent, and they are fairly optimistic about the next year. Ballard said those are the best numbers they have seen since 2002.
