MUSKEGON (WKZO AM/FM) — A West Michigan man who is suspected of shooting a friend he met in jail, chopping him up with a chain saw and distributing the body parts over two counties, has now been charged with open murder in a third county.
Anthony Blamer Jr. had been charged in Newaygo County with dismembering a body, because that’s where DeAnthony Kenan’s torso was found. His hands and head were found in Oceana County.
Muskegon County Prosecutor DJ Hilson filed the charges because that’s where they say the actual killing occurred.
The 29-year-old Blamer of Freemont was also charged with armed robbery and a couple of additional gun felonies.
A preliminary hearing is set for early September.
