LOWELL, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An Idaho-based salad dressing company is recalling a batch of ranch that was bottled in it’s Michigan plant for a mislabeling problem.
Litehouse Inc. is pulling their OPA by Litehouse Ranch because the product contains eggs, but was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of eggs. The mistake occurred at its packaging plant located in Lowell.
A spokesperson for the 50-year-old company said that they have never had a problem of this magnitude before and have not received any reports of adverse reactions due to egg allergies
Almost 750 cases of the salad dressing were distributed with the wrong labels and local stores are currently pulling the affected bottles off the shelves.
Consumers with a bottle of OPA by Litehouse Ranch with the Best Used By date of Oct 24 2017 can receive a refund at the place of purchase.
