KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A 31-year-old felon who shattered the peace in Kalamazoo’s Eastside neighborhood Sunday morning by firing a shotgun into the air, faces a list of charges today, and will likely face more.
Public Safety was dispatched to the 1000 block of Trimble Avenue at 10 am Sunday, making contact with a witness who saw the suspect fire the gun into air, ending a verbal altercation with another person.
A search warrant was obtained, a loaded shotgun, additional shells and what Sergeant David Moran described as a “host of suspected narcotics” were seized.
The suspect was booked into the county jail for assault and weapons felonies, and could also face drug charges pending test results.
