BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police had to use a full body restraint system to secure a man with a death wish who became combative with officers Saturday night.
The man was first reported standing in the roadway, refusing to move for traffic on N. Riviera Dr. He fled prior to the arrival of officers, but had soon move over to North Avenue, where he was once again standing in the street, daring drivers to hit him.
After a struggle they managed to get the suicidal suspect into the restraints and transport him to Bronson Battle Creek.
