DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) — GM is recalling over 700-thousand Chevrolet and GM pickup trucks over a steering issue.
The 2014 Chevy Silverado LD and GMC Sierra LD apparently has a software and voltage problem that causes a brief loss of the trucks’ electric steering assistance when a strain is put on the system.
Owners of the involved trucks can take the vehicle into a dealer for a free software update to fix the problem.
