KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — National Night Out events were held all over the state and the nation last night. Some neighborhoods and cities hold parades, others throw street parties, barbeques, picnics, carnivals and house parties.
The aim is to get people talking about security in their neighborhoods, and introducing them to first responders on a personal level.
Separate night out events were held in 8 different neighborhoodslast night,It was the 34th year nationally for the event.
In Kalamazoo’s Northside neighborhood it was all about hotdogs, games and prizes.
