KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Christopher Lockhart was deposited in the Kalamazoo County Jail for the fourth time in a month for, once again, violating a condition of his parole over the weekend.
Lockhart, who has been on police radar for over two months now because of the disappearance of his wife, first went to jail for allegedly sabotaging a neighbor’s communications and air conditioning lines, a crime that was caught on a surveillance camera.
Since then, he allegedly violated probation first by driving drunk, then set off the alcohol monitor he was given for the first violation. Now, Undersheriff Pali Matyas says his latest arrest was for tampering with the monitor over the weekend.
Matyas said he cut it off and threw it away. Officers were waiting for him when he reported to an appointment at community corrections on Monday.
Bond was set at $10,000 this time. By the end of the day, he had made bail and was freed.
He has been ordered to hand over his passport and abide by even tighter restrictions.
