LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A political consulting firm out of Atlanta, GA has just released results of an early poll for the 2018 Michigan U.S. Senate race, with numbers favoring a yet-to-be announced candidate.
The Trafalgar Group says that Robert Ritchie, better known as performer Kid Rock, has about 49% of the vote to be a Michigan U.S senator over Debbie Stabenow’s 46%. 5% of residents are undecided.
The firm also ran numbers for the Michigan GOP primary, with Kid Rock taking almost 50% of the vote and challengers Lena Epstein, John James, and Bob Young Jr. taking less than 10% each.
Kid Rock has not officially entered the election, but has launched a website at kidrockforsenate.com devoted to exploring the thought of candidacy. On the website, the performer has stressed the act of voter registration and has created a non-profit organization to spread awareness. Kid Rock says a press conference will occur in the next few weeks to address his role in the 2018 election.
The Trafalgar Group was last in the news when they accurately predicted President Donald Trump’s win in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida during the 2016 presidential election.
