KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A big branding change is coming to the Kalamazoo County Fair, which gets underway Aug. 8 on the grounds of the Kalamazoo County Expo Center.
It’s no longer the “Kalamazoo County Fair,” but the “Kalamazoo County Youth Fair.”
“It’s the demographic we’re focusing on,” Josh Gower, the coordinator of the event, said Monday. “We’re really trying to make it an event for young families.”
Gower said, aside from the food, exhibits and carnival rides, the big draw will be all-day entertainment.
“We’ll have our kids expo stage, where every hour there’s a new and different entertainment act going on,” Gower said.
Daily admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children between six and 12 years old.
More information about the event, including a full schedule, can be found here.
