KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — So far, over 23,200 people have signed an online petition seeking to stop the beheading in Saudi Arabia of a prospective Western Michigan University student from that country.
Mujtaba Al-Sweikat, who was 17 when he was detained at King Fahd International Airport in 2012, has been transferred to the prison where beheadings take place in Riyad with 14 other protesters.
Pleas to the White House have been received positively, but there may not be much they can do either.
The request is, in essence, interference in the justice system of another country.
