KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) –Beginning this weekend, free public wifi is available in Bronson Park in Downtown Kalamazoo.
It’s expected to have a number of applications for fairs and events in the park.
It will make it possible for vendors to run credit machines and concert goers to keep themselves entertained waiting for the music to begin. Other sites in town are also being considered for Wi-fi.
Mayor Bobby Hopewell switched it on during Friday’s Lunchtime live event.
Monday night the City Commission is scheduled to approve spending nearly $1.5-million for infrastructure improvements on the north side and on park improvements to Davis Street, Frays and Rockwell Parks. The funding will be aspirational money from the Foundation for Excellence.
