GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO AM/FM) — Governor Rick Snyder came to West Michigan to sign the budget for the next fiscal year and to promote one of his pet projects, vocational education, doing the honors at the Kent ISD Career Tech Center.
The $56.5-billion dollar budget spends a little more on education and commits just $35-million dollars on roads, which is well below the $600-million the experts say is needed annually just to maintain roads in their current condition. It sends millions to the State’s “rainy day fund”.
