MARSHALL (WKZO-AM/FM) — Police have released the name of the fisherman who died when he fell into the Kalamazoo River near Marshall late Wednesday.
Friends say Nathan Sykora, 30, had health problems. They believe he may have had a seizure and fallen overboard.
He left his dog alone floating in his small aluminum boat while the trolling motor pushed it around in circles on the river surface.
Dive teams recovered Sykora’s body a few hours later.
There were plans for an autopsy, but results have not yet been released.
