KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo’s 31st annual Black Arts Festival kicks off today and runs through the weekend at a number of venues around town.
Sponsored by the Black Arts and Cultural Center in Kalamazoo, it begins later this morning with Youth Day activities at the Bible Baptist Church on North Drake.
The Center’s Yolanda Lavender says this evening and tomorrow evening, the play “In the Blood” will be presented at the Cultural Center on the Downtown Mall, and Saturday and Sunday, they will hold the festival with vendors, activities and live DeeJays in LaCrone Park.
