KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A water main break has undermined the pavement along Alcott Street between Portage Road and Burdick, forcing the Public Utilities Department to close the street to through traffic.
They say it may take until Monday before they will be able to reopen the road, because of all the work that will have to be done to fix the pipe and restore the roadway.
Traffic will be detoured down Stockbridge.
