ST. JOSEPH COUNTY (WKZO-AM/FM) — Sheriff’s deputies say a 35-year-old from Kalamazoo is jailed after he reportedly lost control of his car in St. Joseph County just after midnight Wednesday morning.
Deputies say he was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Wait Road and was unable to stop at North Centerville Road. The vehicle wound up in a field.
He was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
His 30-year-old passenger from Sturgis was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo with a leg injury.
Charges are pending following the return of test results.
