PORTAGE (WKZO-AM/FM) — Portage Public Safety is looking for an armed robber who pistol-whipped a woman sitting in a vehicle at the Crossroads Galleria on South Westnedge Avenue at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday.
A news release says the six-foot male walked up to the car, opened the car door and pointed a handgun at her, striking her in the side of the head. The robber then grabbed her purse and ran toward the Timberwood Crossing apartments. A police dog was deployed but lost the scent.
The suspect was wearing a white shirt, black pants and a black hat.
