BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — Investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire that caused extensive damage to a two-story house on Caine Street in Battle Creek
Firefighters were called to the scene before 1 a.m.
The initial attack was defensive, according to a press release. Extensive damage was reported throughout the first floor. The second floor couldn’t be accessed because of damage to the stairway.
There were no reported injuries. The fire remains under investigation.
