THORNAPPLE TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf has released the name of the woman who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening in Thornapple Township.
They say 40-year-old Carla Marie Reiffer of Middleville was peddling along Whitneyville Road near Parmalee Road when she was struck by the vehicle before 7 p.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The car that struck her was a 1998 to 2004 Chrysler Concorde. Investigators aren’t sure of the color. The vehicle will have front-end damage.
