VOLINIA TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Deputies say they won’t be releasing the name of a child who was run over and killed by a piece of landscaping equipment, at the request of the family.
They do say the youngster was a 6-year-old boy who was riding in the bucket of a skid-steer, often called a Bobcat, with two other children.
They were traveling down a driveway on a farm property along Dewey Lake Road when the boy fell out and was partially run over by the mini-bulldozer.
It happened at about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.
The boy was rushed to Borgess Lee Memorial where he died a few hours later.
