KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — The Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Agency has shut down a daycare on Reed Street in Kalamazoo for numerous violations, after they received a complaint and inspected the location Monday.
The place was cited for home maintenance and safety, caregiver suitability and ratios, appropriate care and supervision and record keeping.
The license was suspended as of the end of that day. Operator Tracey Perry was ordered to tell parents that children were not allowed back and her license had been suspended.
The home-based daycare was licensed to take up to 12 children.
She will get a hearing date and an opportunity to appeal.
