HARTFORD (WKZO-AM/FM) — The person who used to run the cemetery in Hartford Township is being accused of embezzling between $50,000 and $100,000 from the township.
Gerrie Heskett, 61, was arraigned Thursday in a Van Buren County courtroom.
Township board members ordered the investigation in January.
It’s alleged the funds were either taken or misappropriated between 2011 and 2016. The exact value was not given.
Heskett is free on bond. Her next court date is July 5.
